Explore inland Gambia with West African Birding, combining woodland birding, two river boat trips and searches for Egyptian Plover, Red-throated Bee-eater and African Finfoot.

Day 1 — Birding to Tendaba

Depart from your coastal hotel at 7 am, stopping at Farasuto, Killy and Raptor Bridge before continuing to Tendaba. Enjoy an evening boat trip exploring the waterways.

Overnight: Tendaba

Day 2 — Egyptian Plovers & Red-throated Bee-eaters

After breakfast, travel to Kaur and Njawo to search for Egyptian Plovers. Continue to Wassu, near Georgetown, to look for Red-throated Bee-eaters, then cross by ferry to Georgetown.

Overnight: Georgetown

Day 3 — African Finfoot & Return

After breakfast, enjoy a boat trip from Georgetown in search of African Finfoot. Return to the coast with birding stops along the way, finishing at your hotel.
